Contains major spoiler:
My earlier expectation was, I may not enjoy the film because 3 villains maybe too much for 1 superhero. To my own shock though, it went beyond from being a disappointing film to (in my opinion) a horrible comic book adaptation. Yes, there were a lot of bad superhero flicks (Green Lantern anyone?) but I did not count that this will happen happen to our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
- Sally Field played the lovable Aunt May.
- We know that Emma and Andrew are real life couple, hence the chemistry.
- Goodbye Gwen Stacy.
- Felicia who maybe the future Black Cat.
- The Oscorp inventions (preview of Rhino, Vulture, DocOc, etc.).
- The X-Men mid-end-credit-clip.
The bad things
- Just like Iron Man 3, the trailers/teasers were deceiving or maybe I misinterpreted it.
- I don't want the emo-type Peter Parker and Harry Osborne.
- There's just too much romance going on.
- The film lasted close to 2.5 hours - the shows how bad the editing was.
- Cheesy dialogues.
I am having a hard time also not to compare Tobey-James-Kirsten with the new trio. I always find myself favoring the Sam Raimi trilogy.
By the way, I love Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield.
