At last!
I stayed with an open mind during the screening.
For a Filipino film, I have to admit maganda siya - more than average if not one of the bests overall production. However, I found the topic so overhyped - it was not unique, it was the same old sing and dance pero was heightened. I don't like the pacing - nabagalan ako, I felt mayroong mga scenes and dialogues na di naman dapat. Of course mayroon pa ring mga scenes na typical Filipino.
One of the things I have to applaud was the confrontation scene between Toni and Iza - I thought it was raw, not realistic but again dramatic. I love the Iza's line about how their love was unromantic and in "love there's no fear".
I mean hello... really? Wala na bang mas cliche pa diyan?
Acting wise - they all delivered, and yes! Although I have to admit and sorry, awkward ang mga love scenes. Iza - as I said very good acting, sana lang mas maraming magagandang roles na mabigay sa kanya.
I know this film is "dramedy" and Star Cinema was successful in achieving the right formula of this genre.
