I wouldn't say that it's excellent but definitely better than other Marvel movie franchise. It has personality - charming and the humor was spot on and carefully scripted to ensure that it won't lose its heart. Great chemistry among the casts. Chosen background songs were perfect. Visually splendid. And we have Thanos! The only disappointment was the end credits. Pffft! But again, kudos to James Gunn.
I had fun watching Hercules, only it's not Hercules. Of course when you hear "Son of Zeus", you will think of Gods, Titans, and Monsters but nada. It's more of Alexander meets Gladiator meets Troy. Oh well, Brett Ratner who directed the film is known for twisting the characters so it's no wonder, this has departed from its origins. Again, it's ok to watch but you need to manage your expectations.

... then you're in for a treat and will love this movie. Nice storyline with good dialogues. The chemistry between Keira and Mark doesn't saturate. But for me, the greatest thing about this film would be the OST. Love, love, love the songs!!!
Based on the story of the musical group Four Seasons focusing heavily on the group's lead singer Frankie Valli. It won several Tony awards for musical prior to its film adaptation. I understand why it got mixed reactions from critics - dragging at times and it has the right amount of ingredients for to be a snoozefest, it will require a bit of an effort to keep you attached in the story. But then, it's musical - and not the razzle-dazzle type of musical. It doesn't have the glamorous stage execution nor a big-bang song and dance routine (well, the ending probably would count). Personally, I liked it because of the story of friendship and some realizations about life. Songs are good too, reminded me of my dad and uncles.
The remake of the 21 Jump Street TV series. I heard that its sequel was good so we decided to watch this first. There's a bromance chemistry between Hill and Tatum. Nothing outstanding in the storyline but it's affectionate and brought some nostalgic early 2000s references - entertaining nonetheless. I am not a fan of Jonah but he's undeniably talented (note the 2 Oscar noms under his belt). Channing as always is adorably yummy.
Great film. More than the impressive visual effects and engaging storyline, the movie conveyed messages which are socially relevant. Like what one of the reviews I have read, the only complaint he had is that it had to end.
First of all, appreciate what ABSCBN is currently doing with these films that defined and gave glory to Philippine Cinemas. Obviously it's not a magnet for money but they are making efforts in giving this generation a chance to watch these worthwhile Filipino films with better quality because they were remastered. Ganito Kami Noon, Paano Kayo Ngayon? ay pangatlo sa mga remastered na pelikula sunod sa Himala at Oro Plata Mata. Kumpara sa dalawang pelikula na mabigat at puno ng drama, mas enjoy naman itong panoorin, may pagka-comedy at relax kahit na ang setting ay noong panahon ng Kastila. May lesson ang film na kung ngayon mo ia-apply eh dapat huwag kang tatanga tanga at kung anuman ang mayroon ka, make sure ingatan mo ito at palaguin mo - hindi iyong wala lang. But in my opinion, sana mas inunang irestore ang "Maynila Sa Kuko Ng Liwanag", "Insiang", o "Tatlong Taong Walang Diyos". Pero ang ultimate realization ay shet ang gwapo gwapo ni Christopher de Leon. Iyon yun eh!
Another scary film dealing with exorcism - nothing beats the original but me thinks this is better than the other movies that has dealt the subject. Main difference would be the screenplay and how it built its story. The scream inducing scenes were typical but like a little girl inside me, I screamed at the top of my lungs four or five times. I was speechless during the exorcism ritual - which was a good thing. There were terrifying scenes hat gave me goosebumps. Having said that, nothing tops Insidious for me in terms of the ultimate horror film although this one is worth checking.
A film that is not for everyone and for someone who is not into raunchy comedy they may find this offensive, I did not. It has good laughs (not the Adam Sandler type). I think it's relevant and timely in terms of the portrayal of teenagers and youth in this generation. There's warmth as it shows also some realities of being married and having family.
