For the record, I am not a fan of "war" films. To be honest, I haven't watched critically acclaimed films like Saving Private Ryan and Black Hawk Down. I made an exception here for 2 reasons - Brad Pitt and Awards season.
To my own delight, I was drawn into it. All the actions, drama, and goriness - made sense and relevant. Although you may have some challenges understanding Pitt's accent.
Shia and Logan are revelations, didn't know they had that capability.
It will be a long shot for this film to be considered in the Oscar race but still subject for consideration considering it's WWII movie.
